My first flourless cookies

Just a few months ago I discovered that flourless cakes and cookies existed. I was A) surprised and B) weirded out by the idea of it . A cake could maybe pull it off, but come on cookies? Alas, last night as I avoided revising and finishing the training program for reference librarians I have to design (due today *gasp*) I started searching through recipes. I wanted to find something that used peanutbutter because I was craving it, but we had no bread or crackers to smear it on. I originally tried to convince the boyfriend to bake, he refused to try a cake and when I suggested these cookies, well....I think the idea of flourless cookies scared him more than me. If I wanted sweets I would have to do it myself. The cake, although yummy looking was out of the question as I would have to sub at least 2 ingredients and these cookies just looked so yummy. They were way quick too! Probably 5 minutes to put all the ingredients together, the oven preheated just in time, and there was only 2 cookie sheets worth in at 11 minutes a pop. Score!

Baking through grad school

So, I decided to create this blog as another way to procrastinate my assignments. Grad school is tough! When I am in the dredges of an assignment all I can dream about are things I would rather be doing such as eating cookies, so I end up baking A LOT. It is pretty cheap, easy, and I have become really fast at whipping up a batch of anything. I am not an original recipe inventor by any means so this blog won't have any of my own creations (never say never though, there is always summertime to experiment!). I am also in the midst of teaching my boyfriend to cook/bake so his dishes will probably make some appearances on here too. So here goes, make sure to comment if you think something is delicious and give praise to the original creator (links will be posted), let me know if you have any tried and true recipes I should check out.

And away we go!
